An apology and a New Year Wish

It’s been too long since I have posted here. I could spend time explaining, but you would likely become bored with the series of busy-ness excuses and personal family situations that have caused my apparent absence.  But the truth is, I have been buried in a project that will make a difference in the lives of families’ health:  the Kid Kritics Approved seal that is now being placed on quality healthier-for-you products.  I am so excited about being a part of this wonderful program.  Finally – a seal that is not bought and paid for by companies with vested interests that render the seal devoid of value.

The KKA seal is the brain-child of Family Food Expert Ellen Briggs and Doctor of Naturopathy Sally Byrd.  They’ve written a book full of valuable insights about the foods we feed our families and how we’re literally killing our kids with chemically-laced food.  Its title?  “Are Your Kids Running on Empty?”  It comes with a CD-based cookbook titled, “Mom, I’m Hungry, What’s for Dinner?”  You can get it  from their website (fastest delivery):  BetterFoodChoices.com or Click the iicon at the end of this post.

It’s January 1, 2009 – the beginning of a new year.  I know, the economy sucks, everybody is worried about their retirement accounts, their jobs, their mortgages, their families and their futures.  But I believe this will be an incredible year of opportunity for people to think outside the box, to attempt new things that can change their lives forever.  So for you I wish a New Year filled with daring attempts to achieve the things you have always really wanted to dobut have put off.   This is the year to stop doing the usual and begin reaching for your dreams.  It is through adversity that the most amazing feats have been accomplished.

Happy New Year!
